The AgMatrix Jazz 2 Blood Glucose Meter is the distilled, essential expression of what a medical device can be when design and engineering move in perfect alignment. It gets out of the way, unobtrusive but always ready. Every surface and interaction was refined until it felt inevitable, nothing extra, nothing wasted. More than a decade later, it still stands as the benchmark for simplicity, precision, and trust.

Jazz is the natural successor to the iBGStar – the first truly connected glucose meter for iPhone. When the 30-pin connector disappeared, it was time to rethink what connection meant. The phone became the home for what it does best: storing and visualizing data, showing trends, and enabling direct communication with doctors. The meter itself returned to its purpose – focused, immediate, and self-contained – a dedicated instrument built for the singular act of testing.

Precision Crafted

Constructed with purpose and permanence, a satin metallic ring instills a confident touch, while premium textured polymers provide both durability and tactile precision. The polycarbonate display lens uses in-mold labeling (IML) to appear seamless, fade-proof, and enduring. It feels engineered, not assembled; every component exists for a reason, every detail aligned with its function.

While most meters still rely on burned-in LCDs, Jazz features a self-lit OLED display — crisp, immediate, and legible in any light. Paired with an integrated strip light, it allows testing anywhere, any time, without compromise. The interface presents only the essentials: clear readings, intuitive prompts, instant comprehension.
